Research - Historic Sotterley
Research is at the heart of
Sotterley Plantation’s mission. Research drives the
stories, tours, programs, and exhibits offered to
the public. Sotterley welcomes research finds from
volunteers, descendants, and professionals.
Most of Sotterley’s primary
sources come from the same places; archives,
historical societies, cultural organizations, and
libraries which are also available to the public.
Sotterley does have a very
small archive, but it is not open to the public at
