Research - Historic Sotterley Plantation

Research is at the heart of Sotterley Plantation’s mission. Research drives the stories, tours, programs, and exhibits offered to the public. Sotterley welcomes research finds from volunteers, descendants, and professionals.

Most of Sotterley’s primary sources come from the same places; archives, historical societies, cultural organizations, and libraries which are also available to the public.

Sotterley does have a very small archive, but it is not open to the public at this time.
