The Free Plant Exchange gives gardeners the opportunity to bring their plants and exchange for other annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables, shrubs, trees, bulbs and seeds!Sotterley Plantation is very fortunate to have a wonderful group of volunteers working with us to preserve the past and protect the future of our beautiful National Historic Landmark. All of our volunteers are invaluable as they selflessly donate their time and talents to benefit a variety of different tasks and special events. Their support makes it possible for us to continue as a public education resource and cultural venue for our community for many generations to come.

Job Opportunities!
There are so many ways to be a part of the Sotterley Plantation family! Positions, both paid and volunteer, all help keep this wonderful National Historic Landmark open to the public and remain an important part of our Southern Maryland landscape and history.

Historic Sotterley welcomes and supports college students in their academic and career goals. Sotterley has been fortunate to host talented, focused, and hard-working students from several local and out-of- state higher learning institutions. Students can intern for credit, usually 3 or 4 credit hours. It takes many talents and abilities to maintain and keep a non-profit museum open to the public year-round. The future of our historic museums rests with the students of today.
