“Reapers in Red Coats:
The Ghosts of Sotterley 1814”

They’re baaaaaaaaaak … all new for 2014!
A spooky, dramatic production & walking tour around the Sotterley grounds!
* Produced by the FRIENDS OF SOTTERLEY & made possible by their generous donations of time and talent. *

With this year’s Ghosts of Sotterley, “Reapers in Red Coats: The Ghosts of Sotterley 1814,” prepare to encounter both the earthly inhabitants of the era and those not of this earth on this historical and spooky outdoor walking tour/production!

Though war rages around the sleepy plantation of Sotterley, and the ravages and carnage of battle are evident, life still goes on. Lovers meet, slaves dream of freedom, mothers mourn the loss of husbands and children, and soldiers, far from home, look for comfort and companionship. Take a trip back in time and witness the tears, laughter, and sorrows during the tumultuous year of 1814.

Exclusive for Sotterley Members! Pay only $10 per person for performances on Thursday, October 23rd! Advance reservations required - call 301-373-2280! Another benefit of membership!

Group rates are available by calling our office 301-373-2280. May not be suitable for young children. Dress appropriately for this spooky outdoor walking tour / production. NO refunds - held rain or shine.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to take the chill off by our roaring bonfire (weather permitting).

Visit the Sotterley Museum Shop to shop for goodies for all on your holiday gift list!!

Please Note:
All tours are walking tours which take place outside. Tours are held RAIN or SHINE! The tour route will include rough and uneven terrain. Guests are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather and to wear suitable foot wear for the conditions.

This is a theatrical production and will include spooky moments and special effects. Some content may not be suitable for young children. Parents please use your own discretion and be considerate of the others in your group when making the decision for your child to participate in the tour.
